Learn Cupping is birthed from my life long experience of receiving cupping and learning to cup at a very young age. Cupping has always been a practice in my family of origin. My parents taught me to cup when we migrated to America and got our first plastic cupping set. When I moved out, a cupping set came with me. Since then, I taught my partners, friends, and anyone who wants to learn how to cup. Continuing and avidly supporting the tradition of physical, energetic, and emotional care having a place in the home, in the family [biological and chosen], and in community. I am extending this offering to you. I will have cupping sets for sale at the workshop, in case you would like to have one in your household.
*There are many forms of cupping. There is dry cupping, wet cupping, air suction cupping, fire cupping and more. This will be a dry cupping workshop using suction which means there will not be any cutting of skin and we will use plastic cupping sets with suction pumps. Wet cupping is the practice of blood letting- we will not be doing this. Cupping using fire and glass jars or cups is an ancient and common and we will not be learning this form of cupping in this workshop.
