This is for folks of all gender expressions (trans, cis, nonbinary, curios, questioning and more); we each carry unique stories in our bodies- here they are welcome. There is a strong uterus focus in this course and this does not mean you must have a uterus to attend or find relevance. The uterus, sometimes called womb, is the origin of each of our human lives. Whether you have one, once had one, wish you had one, have an energetic one, in this class you will be introduced to practices that support healing and reconnection with your abdominal and pelvic space.

A training to learn self-abdominal massage, learn about your organs and how to find and feel some of them with your own hands. Tending the belly will deepen your innerstanding of your pelvic anatomy, physiology and power. Learning to sense and listen to your body with your hands and presence while weaving together information about pelvic wellness and imbalance.

During class, we will dive deep into the healing traditions of Yucatec Maya healer, Don Elijio Panti, whose teachings were passed down to many healers.

This class includes learning:
History and Lineage of this work
Self Massage
Pelvic steams/soaks
Castor oil packs + application
Plant and herb allies + practices
Pelvic Anatomy and Physiology
Trauma’s + Tensions impacts

Completion of this training certifies participants to safely practice the abdominal massage techniques on themselves and qualifies licensed practitioners to continue to Practitioner Training (Level 2) as offered by Tul’ix Indigenous Arts should they wish to.

Tucson Day:
10am-3pm extra cost of $100 and is for folks who’ve taken the virtual training. We will practice all that we learned in class. The day will consist of time outdoors (about 30 minutes out of tucson) connecting with the ecology, practicing consent with plants and earth, and giving offerings to the land. Indoor time will consist of spirit baths, belly tending self-massage, pelvic steams (if appropriate) and a sharing circle.

Cancellation Policy:
Please notify us prior to the beginning of class if you need a refund. You will receive a full refund up to 24 hrs. If you cancel within 24hrs of the start time, $50 of your payment will be kept. We cannot refund any associated fees, but will process a refund through square as soon as we receive the cancellation. It may take several business days before the funds are credited to your account.

Giving Back:
10% of the total cost of every class goes towards supporting our indigenous partners, including Don Elijio’s descendants who protect the sacred forest at the Elijio Panti National Park in Belize, Walther Cholotio, a Tz’utujil Maya Fire and Daykeeper in Guatemala, our friends at Taos Pueblo and Māori tree protector Shirley Waru in Aotearoa.
